He loves me anyway

Psalm 139:1 “You have searched me, Lord and You know me!”
In the busy-ness of motherhood, it’s easy to lose sight of our own spiritual well-being. As a mom of four, I felt like I was always busy going here and there for the kids’ activities. Teaching math all day and attending sporting events, concerts and other activities in the evenings left me little time to study my Bible. I think back to all those busy nights, and am so glad that the Lord didn’t love me based on how often I read His Word!
It was only last year, that the words of Psalm 139:1 truly awed me. How could it be that the Almighty, who created the earth, intimately knows me? I think back to the moments of impatience, the days when exhaustion made me short-tempered, and the times when I questioned my ability to be the mother my children deserved. Yet, here was a truth that surpassed my shortcomings: God’s love for me was steadfast, regardless of my imperfections.
This newfound understanding transformed my approach to life. I am working to embrace my flaws, recognizing that they don’t define my worthiness of love. Instead, they are opportunities for growth, for grace, and for leaning on a higher power. In the chaos of daily life, I hold on to the assurance that I am seen, known, and cherished by the One True God.
Through the lens of Psalm 139:1, I am figuring out how to forgive myself, to extend grace to others, and to treasure the precious moments of connection with my family, knowing that God’s love transcends all.
Isn’t it amazing to think that God knows us intimately? In the chaos of motherhood, we sometimes forget that we are known by the Creator of the universe. As we journal, take a moment to reflect on the depth of this knowledge.

As you embark on this Bible journaling journey with Psalm 139:1, may you find solace in the knowledge that you are deeply known and loved by God. Through creative expression, you can document your feelings amidst the busyness of motherhood. So, pick up your journal, let your creativity flow, and may you find peace and inspiration in every stroke of the pen.
Reflection:
Consider how you are deeply known and loved by God. Take a moment to let those words sink in. The Creator of the universe knows your strengths, your struggles, your hopes, and your fears. As a busy mom, it’s easy to lose sight of this profound truth. But through Bible journaling, we can create a tangible reminder of God’s intimate knowledge of us.
