This post continues from a previous post about Glorifying God. You can find that post here.
Engaging In Scripture
Reading and meditating on God’s Word is fundamental to deepening your relationship with God However, as busy women, it’s easy for us to skip because we “don’t have time”. But, even if you only have a few minutes, choose a verse or a short passage to reflect upon. By using the Bible app on your phone, you have quick access to Scripture. It’s like the opportunity for a chat with God right, in your pocket!
Getting to know God is like building a special friendship. Reflecting on Scripture, even in short bursts, will bring you closer to God and help you glorify Him in all that you do. The more we understand and feel close to God, the more naturally we show His characteristics. We glorify Him by what others see in us!
Intentional Praise in Daily Tasks
Whatever your daily responsibilities involve, find ways to incorporate intentional praise. Whether you’re washing dishes, folding laundry, or working on a project, use this time to sing a worship song, listen to uplifting music, or recite a favorite Scripture verse. Using an app on your phone to read the Bible to you, or play Christian music makes doing one of these even easier. By intentionally incorporating praise into your tasks, you turn mundane moments into opportunities for glorifying God. Scripture tells us , “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (I Corinthians 10:31)
Moments of Quiet
In the midst of busyness, we can find ways to glorify God in small pockets of time. However, it’s essential to find moments of solitude and silence. Even if it’s just a few minutes in a quiet corner, use this time to center yourself in God’s presence. Instead of singing or chatting, it’s time to switch to listening mode. Practice listening and being receptive to His leading. It’s not about hearing with your ears, but with your heart. Try to let go of the busy thoughts and let God’s presence wash over you. It will be like having a heart-to-heart conversation without saying a word.

Finding time to connect with God can often feel like a challenge. It is my prayer that you have found practical ways to maximize your time with the Lord, regardless of how much time you have available each day.
